STEP UP TO THE PLATE FOOD DRIVE

UHCAA Step Up to the Plate Food Drive is an annual community service project which began in 2005. It has been an overwhelming experience for both UHCAA members as well as the designated families in need. Through UHCAA organizational support and solicited contributions (i.e., monetary, non-perishable food products, in-kind services, etc.) from individuals, we provide from 50 to 100 complete Thanksgiving dinners to identified families in need, living around the campus community, and Houston metropolitan area. In 2014, Allstate Insurance Company became the official sponsor of the food drive.
